Working for health.

Healthy People = Healthy Profits

The health and well-being of employees is crucial to the success of any business. Employees are at their most productive and creative when they are in an environment that supports their health and well-being and even a small ongoing investment of time and/or money in the well-being of staff can pay big dividends.

A successful health and well-being programme will result in reduced absenteeism and a reduction in staff turnover, leading to increased skill retention, and a reduction in recruitment and training costs. It’s not all about cost reduction though. A successful health and well-being programme, where employee physical and mental well-being is protected and improved, results in sustained staff morale leading to greater workplace engagement, which in turn drives increased productivity. The benefits are significant, whatever the economic climate.

The Healthy People = Healthy Profits case studies booklet and accompanying DVD is proudly sponsored by Health, Work and Well-being. It features examples of best practice in the field of health and work, documenting the benefits of successfully implemented workplace health and well-being programmes.

Dame Carol Black is delighted to support Healthy People = Healthy Profits and hopes that

‘these examples of the positive steps other businesses have taken will encourage you to think about the possibilities for change and the range of actions that might make a difference in your workplace’
